Dead Amsterdam: Forging Their Path in the Upper Midwest Rock Scene

Formed in 2019, Dead Amsterdam has quickly carved out a name for themselves as a rising force in the Upper Midwest music scene. Known for their thunderous bass lines, electrifying guitar solos, hard-hitting drums, and soulful blues-infused vocals, the band delivers a sound that’s both raw and refined. Drawing inspiration from legends like Clutch, Stone Temple Pilots, Jimi Hendrix, and Pantera. Dead Amsterdam blends classic influences with a modern edge to create their unmistakable signature style.

Their self-titled debut album, Dead Amsterdam, was recorded at the iconic Pachyderm Recording Studio in Cannon Falls, MN, and released in the summer of 2023. Since then, the band has been lighting up stages across the Midwest.

Now entering an exciting new chapter, Dead Amsterdam has just completed their latest EP, recorded at the renowned Drum Farm Studios in Menomonie, WI. The release features two powerful debut singles: "Supernova" and "Chicago!"—a taste of what’s to come.

Once a four-piece outfit featuring Joel Griffis (Vocals), Shane Loken (Bass), Levi Riness (Drums), and Jason Barum (Lead Guitar), the band has evolved into a five-piece powerhouse with the addition of their newest member, Jordan Arquillo (Rhythm Guitar). With fresh energy and new music on the horizon, The Dead Amsterdam Show is just getting started.
